New Year. New Start. New Eyes. New Mind -- Tristan

6:42 pm (Hong Kong Local Time)

We finally arrived at Hong Kong after long 13:30 hour flight ---
Our next flight to Ho Chi Minh City will be in 1 hr

8:00 pm (Hong Kong Local Time)

We are moving on up --- to Business Class !!!
It was a great surprise to all of us when we discovered that we would be spending the third and final leg of our journey to Vietnam in Business Class. Everyone took full advantage of the almost-horizontal reclining chairs, a variety of movies, tv shows, and games to pick from, and a meal with real china, actual silverware, and glasses instead of plastic eatery. Although the flight was delayed by almost an hour, no one complained.

We were met at the airport by our escort, Pastor Le, who is a Vietnamese pastor who currently lives in Houston, Texas. We made our way to the Orient Hotel, which is right in the heart of Ho Chi Mihn City. The city is hot and humid, and filled with many mopeds. It is currently one of the busiest times of the year for the tourist industry for HCMC, as the New Year quickly approaches at the beginning of February. -Laura
